Report of the Commission for Historical Clarification: Guatemala -- Memory of Silence
An English translation of the official conclusions of the Commission for Historical Clarification, which was established through the 1994 Oslo Accords to investigate and report impartially on human rights violations that occurred during what the report calls Guatemala's "three decades of fratricidal war." The report is made available online by the American Association for the Advancement of Science.

Network in Solidarity with the People of Guatemala (NISGUA)

This book reviews the legal and historical case that genocide occurred in Guatemala in 1981-1983. It includes an English translation of the text of the genocide section of a United Nations-sponsored Commission on Historical Clarification in Guatemala (CEH).

Silence on the Mountain: Stories of Terror, Betrayal, and Forgetting in Guatemala. (Daniel Wilkinson. Durham, NC: Duke University Press Books, 2004.) This book chronicles the history of Guatemala's 36-year internal struggle through personal interviews and gripping narratives.
