On Friday, ITVS’s Indies Showcase will begin streaming China Blue for three days. The documentary, by filmmaker Micha Peled, premiered on Independent Lens in 2007 and won its audience award that year. China Blue examines the brutal working conditions at a blue jeans factory in China.
To kick off the online premiere, PBS NewsHour’s Hari Sreenivasan will moderate a live chat on Friday at 11AM PT / 2PM ET with Peled and others, focusing the discussion on globalization and poor working conditions in China.
