Seth Keal makes his directorial debut with the short documentary CatCam, which won the Jury Prize at SXSW and the Best Online short at the Tribeca Film Festival amongst other festival awards. Keal's previous credit includes producer of Emmy nominated Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work. He is also credited with multiple roles in the production for television content for National Geographic Channel and the History Channel. He currently resides in New York City.
Director Statement: I was drawn to filmmaking because I have always been intrigued by the concept of seeing the world from a different point of view. Through the relationship between Juergen and Mr. Lee, I became fascinated with Juergen's overwhelming desire to discover the unspoken secret world that cats inhabit. Ultimately, Juergen's camera gave the world a minute way to experience Mr. Lee's unique perspective through his daily travels. My hope is that the audience enjoys stepping into Mr. Lee's world as much as we did as we made the film.
