Featured Event: From Damascus to Chicago at the Rochester Public Library

Next week, POV community partner the Rochester Public Library will feature a free screening of From Damascus to Chicago as part of their event Arrival: Refugees’ Experiences in America, in which audience members are invited to reflect on the challenges that refugees face upon arrival in their new country. The conversation will be facilitated by Getachew Beshir, a Resettlement Manager from Catholic Family Services. Beshir will also present on the process of resettlement and the resources available to newly arrived refugees in the Rochester area. For more information on the screening, please visit the library’s event page.
