No Le Digas A Nadie (Don’t Tell Anyone)
by Mikaela Shwer

Join Freedom Flicks for a free screening of No Le Digas A Nadie (Don’t Tell Anyone), as part of Lady Fest Miami. For more information, visit their website. The event will be followed by a Q & A with the film’s protagonist, Angy Rivera, as well as filmmaker, Mikaela Shwer.

Freedom Flicks is a monthly film series designed to engage people across disciplines in the defining stories of political and social unrest that shape our world, past and present. Each month there is a free screening of a cutting-edge, socially engaged documentary, harnessing the power of film to educate, activate, and build community. This event is part of Lady Fest Miami, a volunteer-organized, grassroots festival in South Florida that showcases local talent and engages us on local issues through workshops, music and art. Their mission is to create an affirming space for woman and girls, centered around our experiences, that uplifts our narratives and inspires us to celebrate and critically examine our lives.

Don’t Tell Anyone Conversation Starter: As part of making her status public, Angy wears a T-shirt bearing the word “undocumented.” What do you think would happen if, on a single day, every undocumented immigrant in the U.S. wore a similar T-shirt? What would happen if everyone wore a shirt saying “undocumented?”

Visit our local events calendar for a full list of events happening across the country and join our Community Network to host a screening of your own!
