Filmmaker Bio

Steven Lipscomb was raised in Knoxville, Tennessee and is a graduate of Dartmouth College and the University of Chicago Law School. He practiced law in Los Angeles at Gibson, Dunn & Cruthcher for a year and a half and then started his own attorney referral business, which he sold to make this, his first film. Lipscomb has directed and performed in recognized productions and improvisational theater in Tennessee, New Hampshire, New York, Chicago and Los Angeles -- including a stint as a featured player in Monkeys, Kings and Other Things on the Main Stage of the renowned Second City Theater in Chicago. He produced, co-created, and co-wrote Shut Up and Drive, a 1994 pilot for the USA Network.
