Lisanne Skyler was born in New York City in 1969, and attended the University of California at Berkeley, the New Sorbonne University and San Francisco State University. She has worked at The Cannes Film Festival, on the staff of the San Francisco International Film Festival, and in film production in both New York and the Bay Area. No Loans Today premiered in the Sundance Film Festival Documentary competition. Skyler now lives in Los Angeles where she is developing a film adaptation of three short stories by Joyce Carol Oates and several documentary projects about life in present-day Los Angeles.
