Christopher (Toby) McLeod circled the globe for five years filming Standing on Sacred Ground, a four-part documentary series airing on PBS stations in May and June, 2015. Malinda Maynor Lowery (Lumbee) is an Assistant Professor of History at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She serves on the board of the Independent Television Service (ITVS). Previous films include Real Indian and Sounds of Faith. She is author of Lumbee Indians in the Jim Crow South: Race, Identity, and the Making of a Nation. She holds a Ph.D in History from U.N.C Chapel Hill, a master's degree in Documentary Film Production from Stanford University and a B.A. from Harvard University.
