Tami Gold launched her career at the age of 20 as part of the Newsreel Film Collective of the anti-Vietnam War movement. She has since produced and directed over 17 social-issue films and television broadcasts. Her credits include the award-winning Another Brother, about an African-American Vietnam veteran, Out at Work (with Kelly Anderson), which premiered at the Sundance Film festival and was re-cut for broadcast on HBO, Making a Killing: Philip Morris, Kraft and Global Tobacco Addiction (with Kelly Anderson), and Juggling Gender: Politics, Sex and Identity. In 1996, Gold directed her first narrative, the short film Emily & Gitta. She is the recipient of fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation, the Rockefeller Foundation, the New York State Council on the Arts, and the American Film Institute. She also has received the Excellence in the Arts award from the Manhattan Borough President. Since 1987, Gold has been a Professor in the Department of Film and Media Studies at Hunter College in New York.
Born and raised in Montreal, Kelly Anderson has lived in New York City for the past 15 years, where she is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Film and Media Studies at Hunter College. Her recent credits include Out At Work and Making a Killing (both produced and directed with Tami Gold), which she also edited, and SHIFT, a one-hour drama she produced and directed for public television (ITVS) about the relationship between a North Carolina waitress and a telemarketing prison inmate. Anderson was the co-producer of the ITVS's Signal to Noise, a three-part public television series about America's relationship with television, and, in 1994, she produced and directed the documentary Looking for a Space. Anderson is a recipient of fellowships from the American Film Institute, the Rockefeller Foundation, and the New York State Council on the Arts.
