Grand Prize: A Sony Digital Camera

Attention, documentary fans! POV (Point of View), American television’s longest-running independent documentary series, begins its 25th season on PBS on Thursday, June 21, 2012. POV is inviting viewers to join the celebration by hosting POV Premiere Parties — large or small — to watch and discuss the eye-opening new films with friends and family. POV’s regular 2012 season runs through Thursday, Oct. 25 and will conclude with a fall special (date to be announced).

You don’t need designer duds, a red carpet or throngs of paparazzi — and no one will be asking, “Who are you wearing?” Just gather as many people as you like at your home, school, community center or other location, watch any of POV’s 13 new documentary premieres on a television or laptop . . . and tell POV about your experience. Viewers may then enter a random drawing to win a POV Party Pack of autographed film posters, DVDs, books, sustainable food items and special film memorabilia. There will be two Party Pack winners for each POV broadcast and one grand prize winner selected from all entries received for all 13 POV broadcasts.

All entries will be eligible for the Grand Prize, which will include a POV Party Pack plus a Sony a77 DSLR camera and lens. The Grand Prize winner will be announced in December 2012 on pov.org.

Visit pov.org/premiereparty for official entry rules and our POV Premiere Party Guide, which includes checklists, discussion topics, links and resources.
