New York, New York – Jan. 13, 2011 – POV (Point of View), public television’s premier showcase for independent, nonfiction film, is once again seeking the work of emerging filmmakers through the fourth round of its Diverse Voices Project (DVP) and has extended its submission deadline to Friday, Feb. 18, 2011 at 5 PM ET. The initiative, launched by POV in 2003 with major funding by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB), awards co-production funds to filmmakers who tell compelling stories about communities and individuals not widely represented on mainstream television.
