In celebration of Mother’s Day, patrons of the North Port Public Library are invited to learn more about maternity rates worldwide along with the practices and policies that impact motherhood on a global scale through a free screening of Motherland.

Motherland Conversation Starters:

If you were one of the nurses assigned to discuss birth control options with the mothers in the ward, what would you say? What do you think the sources of resistance might be? What cultural and personal factors lead women to eschew or embrace particular birth control methods?
