Join the Havre de Grace Arts Collective for a free screening of Cameraperson at the Opera House Cultural Center. For more information, visit the Opera House events page.

Following the renovation of the Opera House this past August, the Arts Collective began a POV Film Series as part of their mission to bring quality entertainment with cultural and artistic value to the local community. Each screening is accompanied by a conversation facilitated by Jack Hirschfeld, the Chair of the Films Committee at the Arts Collective.

Cameraperson Conversation Starter:

In many of the clips, Johnson is essentially a stranger, or perhaps a temporary ally filming in another country. Under what circumstances is it valuable to have an outsider controlling how another’s community is represented? When should that privilege be denied? What’s the difference between giving voice to others and using others’ voices to serve your own interests or make your own point?

Visit our local events calendar for a full list of events happening across the country and join our Community Network to host a screening of your own!
