Images from Irma and The Whistle

Irma and The Whistle are now streaming at POV.

Our celebration of documentary shorts continues this month with new selections — the CPH:DOX SHORT:DOX Prize-winning Irma by Charles Fairbanks and the Sundance Film Festival Short Film Grand Jury Prize-winning film The Whistle (by Grzegorz Zariczny). Watch, share and let us know what you think!

Irma is an intimate musical portrait of Irma Gonzalez, the former world champion of women’s professional wrestling.

The Whistle follows Marcin, a soccer referee in small-town Poland who faces angry players, managers and fans as he yearns for a better job and a better life.
