We’re excited to hear that the POV documentary Girl Model has been nominated for a 2014 Webby Award. The Webby Awards have been hailed as the “Oscars of the Internet” and it’s impressive for the film to be nominated among some of the biggest names on the Web, no less than Buzzfeed, Google, The New York Times, Ellen DeGeneres, Justin Bieber, Beyonce and Pharrell Williams.
If you love Girl Model (which is also now streaming free online) or POV or independent documentaries, you can help this film win a People’s Voice Webby Award in the Documentary category by voting and sharing the film online.
Girl Model has been called “an alarming documentary about the trafficking of Russian child models” (NPR), “essential viewing for adolescent girls” (The Boston Globe), and “a brilliant exposé of a dangerous business” (Indiewire).
