Sticks and Stones: Defeating the Culture of Bullying and Rediscovering the Power of Character and Empathy follows the stories of three teens in the middle of bullying controversies – both the bullied and the bully. Facing History and Ourselves invites the public to a webinar and conversation with the author, Emily Bazelon, on Wednesday, April 9th from 3-4pm EST.

Bazelon will be in conversation with Meredith Gavrin, Program Director of New Haven Academy, a small magnate high school in New Haven, CT. Gavrin is the author of the book’s study guide, which helps educators use the book with middle and high school students, focusing on themes of identity, belonging, upstanders and bystanders, media and social media, and the law.

To sign-up for the webinar, visit the Facing History and Ourselves website.
