Silver laced Wyandotte Hens at Queens County Farm

THIS SUNDAY, 11AM-4PM, Celebrate Queens Farm!

Queens County Farm Museum’s history dates back to 1697; it occupies New York City’s largest remaining tract of undisturbed farmland and is the only working historical farm in the City. The farm encompasses a 47-acre parcel that is the longest continuously farmed site in New York State. The site includes historic farm buildings, a greenhouse complex, livestock, farm vehicles and implements, planting fields, an orchard, herb garden and vineyard.

This Sunday, they’ll be celebrating all things Queens Farm with sheep shearing and spinning demos, farm tours, live music, hay rides, wine tasting, some of the city’s best food trucks and a screening of POV’s Sweetgrass in the farm’s barn complex!

Should be a great event for the whole family and we hope to see you there! For directions, visit Queens County Farm

In the meantime, take a visit around the farm with Kennon Kay, Director of Agriculture:
