POV’s 24th season continues with the U.S. broadcast premiere of Enemies of the People on Tuesday, July 12, 2011. Check your local listings.
Enemies of the People is the story of Thet Sambath, an unassuming yet cunning, investigative journalist who lost his family at the hands of the Khmer Rouge in the Killing Fields of Cambodia. He spends a decade gaining the trust of the men and women who perpetrated the massacres. From the foot soldiers who slit throats to Pol Pot’s right-hand man, the notorious Brother Number Two, Sambath and co-director Rob Lemkin record shocking testimony never before seen or heard.
