Planet Forward is a collaboration between PBS and George Washington University that asks community members to submit videos offering their ideas for the best way to reduce our carbon footprint. The best videos on PlanetForward.org will be featured in an hour-long Planet Forward broadcast for PBS stations nationwide later this year. In addition to user-submitted videos, the show’s host, Frank Sesno, posts “webisode” interviews with scientists, entrepreneurs and thought leaders with questions submitted by the Planet Forward community.

Yesterday’s webisode featured Food, Inc. director, Robert Kenner. He talks about what he learned about our nation’s food industry, what he thinks will have to happen to make our food production more sustainable and the most surprising thing he encountered while making the film. Watch the interview here, and visit the Plant Forward website for more great interviews!
