Synopsis

Why is the mere mention of Blacks and Jews in the same breath so riddled with complexity? Heading an African-American and Jewish production team, filmmakers Deborah Kaufman, Bari Scott and Alan Snitow go behind the explosive headlines of conflict to reveal four riveting stories. From death on the streets of Crown Heights to director Steven Spielberg's controversial visit to a predominantly black high school in East Oakland, the film resists simple analysis and treads provocatively on the fault lines of racial coalition and conflict.
